Karen Scott Mims, Esq. is the Founder and CEO of Harbour Pointe Tax Advisory, a full service fiduciary firm that specializes in Comprehensive Planning for higher net worth individuals, families and business owners.

As a Tax Attorney, Investment Advisor Representative, Accountant and Estate Planner, Karen has spent over 18 years helping families develop and implement complex but coordinated Tax, Estate, Investment and Charitable/Philanthropic Plans.

Given her multi-discipline approach, Karen’s philosophies are built upon the belief that ethics, integrity and respect are the keys to building a foundation for long lasting client relationships.

Karen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and business Law from Temple University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Law.

She is a well known and established guest lecturer on advanced and sophisticated planning strategies. It is her passion of eradicating tax and financial illiteracy and bridging the social and economic gaps that drives her to share knowledge and perpetuate generational prosperity.
